Dear ,

With elections quickly approaching, I'm reminded again of my favorite Thomas Jefferson quote,

"We in America do not have a government by the majority. Rather, we have government by the majority who participate."

Given the massive influence the government has on the health care system as a payer, purchaser, regulator and legislator, government should always be a priority audience. Throughout my career, I've felt most fulfilled empowering people to champion the causes they care about. I’ve intentionally recruited specialists in both government relations and integrated communications who know how to work together to create breakthrough campaigns that mobilize missions.

It's been over two years since we launched Art of Advocacy, our free resource hub designed to demystify government affairs and empower bold and better health care advocacy. It includes webinars, the 2020 Freshman Health Policy Profiles and tools like the Issue Prioritization Rubric. I’m excited to announce our latest AOA offering… drumroll, please… Capitol Corner! Read on to learn more.

And don’t forget to Vote on November 8th!

We are excited to launch a new email series dedicated to educating and empowering you. This series will:

  • Highlight CURA’s advocacy work with Congress and the Administration so you can learn what is working

Keep your eyes peeled for the inaugural issue of Capitol Corner in November.

For those of you wondering, YES, once again, we’ll be diving into the profiles of the newly elected members of Congress to highlight those who are likely to have the most impact on health care in the 118th Congress. Want to make sure it’s delivered directly to your inbox? Sign up here

CURA is on the move and supporting clients' missions in person. This past weekend, we attended the annual Frederick Community Health Fair event to promote the Family Connects Frederick County nurse home visiting program, which will launch in January 2023 (image on left) and a different crew was in Rockford, IL to facilitate SouthsideScene—an event led by Rockford Ready aimed at blending health and art to promote healthy behaviors.

A growing client roster means a growing CURA team! We are so thrilled to have these PR superstars join the team this quarter.

...was the theme of our quarterly retreat, where we came together to reflect on our work and plan for the year ahead. The day was spent getting a detailed "state of the company" report, discussing digital marketing strategies, learning more about each of our Kolbe scores and how to build an effective team—we even stopped to do a little yoga! Namaste.
